With four more in a day, bridge-collapse tally in Bihar goes up to nine in a fortnight

A total of nine bridges have collapsed in various districts such as Madhubani, Araria, East Champaran and Kishanganj within the past 15 days.

Three small bridges collapsed in Siwan district while another one crumbled in Saran district on Wednesday, taking the tally of similar incidents in Bihar to nine since June 18.

Since July 18, bridges have collapsed in Kishanganj, Araria, Madhubani, East Champaran and Siwan.

The third Siwan bridge collapsed in Teghra area.In the fourth incident a portion of a 150-year-old bridge in Saran’s Damdaspurpur collapsed.
