Ladli Behna, Shivraj Chouhan’s brainchild, gets a boost from his successor too

In its first budget session under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh government has allocated Rs 18,984 crore to Ladli Behna scheme, a substantial jump from Rs 8,000 crore earmarked for the scheme in 2023.
Devda presented a budget of Rs 3,65,067 crore, which is 16% more than the previous year.
The government has earmarked Rs 26,560 crore for the Women and Child Development Department “which is 81% more than the budget estimate for the year 2023-24”.
